Araknis Networks makes routers, switches and Wi-Fi access points designed for homes and businesses full of smart home, AV and camera equipment. As an authorized Araknis dealer, we design, install and remotely monitor Araknis networks across Orange County, Los Angeles and the Inland Empire.
Why we install Araknis
- Made for connected homes: built to carry Control4, video distribution, streaming, music and cameras at the same time.
- Remote monitoring with OvrC: we see the network’s health, reboot devices and update firmware remotely, so many problems are fixed without a service call.
- Power over Ethernet: PoE switches power access points, cameras, touch panels and door stations over the network cable.
- Multi-gig speed: current switches and routers support 2.5 Gbps and faster connections for fiber internet.
Araknis products we install
| Product | What it does |
|---|---|
| Routers | Single-WAN and dual-WAN VPN routers with a business-grade firewall. Dual-WAN models add a backup internet line that takes over automatically. |
| Switches | Managed PoE switches for the equipment rack, from small 8-port models to 24-port and larger, including multi-gig and high-power PoE++ models. |
| Wi-Fi access points | Ceiling, wall and outdoor access points, including current Wi-Fi 7 models, placed for full coverage indoors and out. |
| OvrC | Cloud platform we use to monitor and manage your network remotely, with alerts when something goes offline. |
Best for
Most homes, from condos to large houses, and small businesses such as offices, restaurants and retail stores. Araknis pairs especially well with Control4, LTS security cameras and whole-home audio and video.
Questions we get asked
Does Araknis work with Control4?
Yes. Araknis is designed for the same kind of installed smart home systems, and we use it under Control4, RTI and Savant projects.
Can you monitor my network remotely?
Yes. Araknis connects to OvrC, which lets us check the network, restart equipment and update firmware remotely, with your permission.
Can Araknis replace my internet provider’s router?
Yes. We set the provider’s modem to pass the connection through and let the Araknis router handle the network, firewall and Wi-Fi.
